JP Academy offers full-time training in the Performing Arts for students over 16.

JP Academy provides a supportive environment that fosters artistic, intellectual and personal development with all its students. The intense, rigorous and practical training is enhanced by theoretical study that allows the student to understand historical, stylistic and professional aspects of the performing arts industry. This holistic approach prepares each student to embark on a successful and fulfilled life in the arts, with the ability to develop a long and varied career. Our students come from a wide range of experience so the two years of their course is designed to strengthen and develop an understanding of various performance techniques and make students knowledgeable about the level of work required for a future career in the performing arts industry.

JP Academy offers three courses:

BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts

(Fully Government Funded)
A BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts is a practical, work-related course. Students learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic work place situations, activities and demands. As well as learning about a students’ chosen employment area, students will develop the skills needed to start a professional career. This course is equivalent to three A Levels, which means upon finishing the course, students can choose whether to get a job straight away or go into higher education.

Vocational Course

(Optional Choice to further your training whilst studying on the BTEC)
In addition to your BTEC qualification, you can opt to enrol on the Vocational Course. This will give you an additional 16 hours per week working on all practical classes to further your ability in the areas you would like to strengthen. The cost of this additional course is £3,000 per academic year (£84 per week). Please note this option will run 5 days a week.

Gap Year Course Aged 18+

The aim of the Gap Year Course is to raise the level of each student’s technique and performance ability. Combine this with the knowledge and confidence to successfully audition for further training at a vocational college or university. This course runs three days a week students will have the opportunity to study in Musical Theatre or Acting, with the course tailored for the individual student’s needs. The cost of this course is £3,750 per academic year (£104 per week).
