Marylyn Phillips – Principal

Marylyn was taught to dance by her Mother Jackie Palmer and subsequently at The Place, New College for Speech and Drama, her acrobatic coach was an ex Hungarian Circus Acrobat. Qualifications are: AIDTA, ADB, LRAM (specialising in Mime). Marylyn won many festivals as a child and appeared in shows all over the country, as an adult she became a professional choreographer, working on pantomimes; tv shows including Junior Showtime and in 1977 the Queens Silver Jubilee Celebration at Windsor. Having worked for the BBC in 1971 Marylyn started the Jackie Palmer Stage School alongside her Mother. Marylyn also runs JPA Associates which incorporates, Jackie Palmer Agency, JPA Young Performers and JPA Management. In 1971 Marylyn married Chris Phillips, who was working for the BBC, and for 25 years presented and produced shows for BBC Radio. He now deals with  the technical side of the school – recording music, voices and filming clients audition pieces to send all over the world.

Alex Logan

Relevant Experience: Worked professionally as a Dancer / Actress for seven years, before focussing on teaching. Alex has worked in various performing Arts schools and full time colleges. She now works full time in a joint capacity for the Stage School and as an Agent for Jackie Palmer Agency.

Antoinette Lo

Relevant Experience: Professional performer in the West End and performed at the Laurence Olivier Awards. A Resident singing Teacher at the childrens day school, Arts Educational in Chiswick

Carmen Godwin

Training: Gloria Hill School of Dance
Teacher Qualification: IDTA, BSc (Psychology)
Teaching Since: 1994
Relevant Experience: Worked as a professional dancer & choreographer, before focussing on teaching. Has taught in numerous primary schools and now combines teaching with running ‘THRIFT’, a company that specialises in creativity for youngsters, with her husband.

Darren Massey

Relevant Experience: Has extensive experience working within dance schools, universities and private schools across Bucks. Founded his own dance school in 2009 which continues to thrive.

Gerard Logan

Training: RADA
Teacher Qualification: LAMDA Dip
Teaching Since: 2003
Relevant Experience: An Olivier Award Nominee, Leading Roles with RSC, National Theatre, Regional Theatre and work on Screen and Radio. Combines his teaching and lecturing with performing his award winning solo show globally.

Jessica Simmonds

Relevant Experience: Having trained first at Jackie Palmer Stage School, then gone onto JP Academy (before her three year training at Performers), she is pleased to be able to combine her professional musical theatre work with teaching for us.

Lily-Fleur Bradbury

Lucy Dungate

Relevant Experience: Having worked as a dancer and a choreographer, Lucy turned to teaching alongside her Jackie Palmer commitments she teaches for Italia Conti’s  at a number of their Associate schools as well as their London College.  Therefore working with children through to their third year graduates.

Niall Gelder-Stone

Relevant Experience: Worked as a professional performer in the West End and Internationally. Is a resident voice coach at Mountview Academy, as well as running his own Voice School, having coached on Britain’s Got Talent and at various Universities.

Sara Lawson
